When WRAS arrived, much to everyone’s disappointment, the cub was nowhere to be seen. The cub’s crying had subsided, and everyone automatically dreaded the worst. However, upon looking around, the WRAS team noticed the cub’s mother stood nearby, watching them.
Riddington stated in an interview that it was as though she was watching them, knowing they were trying to help her baby. Still, the team refused to give up; they were determined to save the baby fox.
