The WRAS team decided that the cub was still in the pipes, but as many pipes are interconnected, knew that it could have been anywhere. They told the family that cubs often return to where they started, meaning it may well end up back in the same drain pipe section.
They decided they would leave, and return a little while later, hoping that it would have returned to its initial location. They could see the vixen sticking around, which meant that the cub might be lured back to its entrance.
