When someone is going through a difficult situation, it can be helpful for them to remember that they are not alone. That is definitely the case with these miserable men at malls. In fact, you can often see them banding together, although that might just be because the chairs and sofas in malls tend to be grouped together.
While the men may not say a word to each other, they sit together staring at their phone screens in solidarity, displaying very similar behaviors. It can even become difficult to tell them apart! It’s especially common to see groups of men in malls sitting around on their phones during the holiday season, when stores are crowded.
