Just like the constant selfies, continually looking for your man to pay you a compliment might be one way to put them off the relationship. There are many ways we can try and get a compliment off of someone. From openly talking about things you wish you could change to shutting them down when they try and pay you a compliment – these can have the opposite effect.
While not all of us are blessed with the biggest self-confidence, acting as though we need other people’s approval to make ourselves feel better may come off as someone in search of an ego boost. It seems as though we might need to learn how to say “thank you” next time someone has something nice to say about our appearance.
