Although Cecile and her son and son-in-law managed to remain hopeful and optimistic throughout the entire IVF and pregnancy process, they still knew at the time that there were always potential risks involved. For this reason, the three of them tried to only tell their closest friends and family about the arrangement.
“High risk is usually around 40-45; you’re talking 20-something years past that, so we were very conservative during this whole process,” Cecile confessed.
