One of the biggest issues with the woman’s reaction to the proposal was the fact that she was rejecting her future mother-in-law’s act of kindness. Several people on Reddit pointed out that her boyfriend’s mom obviously approved of her if she wanted her son to propose with her engagement ring.
Getting on your mother-in-law’s good side can sometimes be a hard task, but this woman had obviously managed it. However, now that she’s rejected her engagement ring, that relationship may well be damaged forever.
