The special moment came on the couple’s anniversary, and it was a relatively subdued affair. They spent the evening enjoying a romantic meal out in town before returning home to watch a movie together. It had been a pretty uneventful night, and for a moment, the woman wondered if her boyfriend really was going to propose or not. However, it was while they were watching the film that he slipped off the couch and got down onto one knee.
Even though she’d expected it to happen that night, she was still lost for words when her partner asked her to marry him. They’d known each other for so long and she couldn’t imagine wanting to ever be with anyone else. How did she put that into words though? Unfortunately, she didn’t have much of an opportunity to, because that was when she saw the engagement ring.
