Avozillas are not a new product, and have been produced in South Africa for many years, but Groves is the first to bring them to Australia. They are a cross between West Indian and Guatemalan avocados which yields massive fruits.

How are they made

Although they grow much larger, Groves states that they give a lower yield, meaning that fewer grow on the trees compared to regular avocados. Groves has around 400 giant avocado trees on his land, bringing him a small return in comparison to his regular avocado crops.
