They currently sell for around nine Australian dollars, meaning they are a substantial investment for shoppers. Spending that much on all your fruit during your shop is one thing, but just on a single item, that’s a risk.
What if it isn’t ripe? Avocados take a little while to ripen, and if you are too slow to react, they can be much softer than many people would like.
