The first farmer in Australia to yield the avozillas believes that he is years ahead of the competition. Groves planted the trees on his farm four years ago and said a friend of his recently planted 2000 of the trees. Those trees will take years to grow enough to produce the avozillas, so for now, Groves has an advantage over the market.
When the avozillas begin to hit more and more store shelves, he’s going to have his work cut out, but Groves is happy growing them as a novelty.
