[post_page_title]The right experience[/post_page_title]
If he wanted to make an impression on potential employers, Chris knew he needed to have good work experience. Nowadays, education means nothing if you can’t show that you’ve applied it to the real world. Unfortunately, that leads many young people to get trapped in a catch 22 situation. They can’t get a job because they don’t have enough relevant experience, but they’ll never get that if someone doesn’t give them a chance.
Luckily for Sumlin, he managed to avoid getting caught up in that situation. Over the years, he developed his skills through a variety of internships, and the people he worked for were surprisingly big names. He spent some time as a general production intern with The Tonight Show in 2016, and more recently as a television development intern with Legendary Entertainment in late 2018. That wasn’t what caught people’s attention on his résumé though.
