While the work experience section of Chris’ résumé certainly looked impressive, it was the accomplishments that really got employers talking. Sumlin mentioned that his creative work had landed him a feature in the Boston Globe, as well as the fact that he was already a self-published author. While this showed his writing skills were certainly impressive, they weren’t the highlight of his accomplishments.
No, it was what he included at the bottom which really made him stand out. Chris informed his potential employers that TV personality Kim Kardashian-West retweeted him because of the “impressive” work that he’d done in graduate school. Getting retweeted by anyone famous is a considerable achievement in itself, but for them to do it because of your work? Chris understandably felt over the moon when he got that notification on Twitter, so he figured it was worth sharing with the world.
