For some people, the thought of adding a retweet on their résumé wouldn’t even cross their mind. Why would an employer care that someone famous took an interest in something you posted online? However, in an industry where celebrity culture is important, and influencers are everything, a retweet holds a lot more weight. Love her or hate her, you can’t deny that Kim Kardashian-West is one of the biggest celebrities around right now.
Being in her good books signified great things for Sumlin, and apparently, employers wanted a piece of that. Not long after adding Kim’s name to his résumé, offers for interview started flying his way. Chris revealed that he’d had three in the space of a week, and it was all because of one woman’s influence. At least, that’s what he believes. It can’t just be a coincidence, can it?
