December 1st, 2018, was an important day for Chris for two reasons. Firstly, he had one of his interviews that day for a role with a “major talent agency.” If things went well, there was a good chance he’d walk away with a job, or at least progress further through the hiring process. Secondly, Sumlin was also pitching one of his TV shows to another company later on.
When it comes to writing, the hard part doesn’t tend to be bringing your story to life, but instead, selling it to others. Chris believed in what he’d written, but he had to convince others that it was worth turning into a TV show. The pressure of these two things made him a ball of nerves. However, this was what he’d been working towards for so long. Now was not the time to panic – he needed to be at his best.
