After you’ve found out the girl not only has a son, but she brought him on the date with you two, you’re in all kinds of shock. In retrospect, this is probably why the men left the room – because he was in shock.
Even if the man wanted to react in a nice way, or tell the woman how he felt, he probably felt too awkward to do anything around her son. That’s the real problem here. No matter how the man wanted to react, he probably didn’t want to embarrass her.
