It was clear to u/LiveDriver that the woman who walked into the diner was his date, but she had definitely never mentioned having a kid. As she got closer, she introduced herself and then her kid to u/LiveDriver. The first thing u/LiveDriver thought when his date walked in the restaurant was that she was looking after her kid brother or something.
He thought maybe she couldn’t get out of looking after him, so she had no choice but to bring him along to their date. Then after she introduced the kid, she confirmed that the young boy was hers. This was news to u/LiveDriver who had no idea the woman he’d been talking to was a mother.
