Ingrid Seward is an expert Royal commentator and believes that Diana would have seen Meghan’s possessive nature and disproved of it, she promoted emotional freedom and likely would have wanted that for her sons. However, whether it came in the form of a crown or a wife, anything that might have disrupted William and Harry’s ability to be positive and happy may not have sat well with the late Princess.
Seward described that sometimes Princess Diana could have been a bit of a snob, which seems fair since she was raised in one of the largest estates in the country and with one of the wealthiest families; the Spencers. This also means that, while she may have enjoyed Markle’s progressive attitude, she may not have appreciated aspects of Markle’s personality.
