As the Jimmy John’s delivery driver went off with Kayla’s sandwich, her boyfriend texted to tell her that he was going for a nap. Not wanting him to miss his special present, she told him what she’d just done and advised that he leave a tip when the order arrived.
Her boyfriend thanked her and agreed to pay the driver upon delivery before disappearing for his nap. Alone and anxious for everything to go well, all Kayla could do was sit and wait for her food to arrive.

Kayla found ways to distract herself, but the three hours seemed to take an age to pass. Every time she looked at the clock, it appeared to be moving slower. She was going crazy waiting for the driver to show up.
All she wanted was to hear her boyfriend’s grateful voice and know that she’d put a smile on his face. By the time the driver arrived at his apartment, she couldn’t contain her excitement. However, she was thrown off guard when an unexpected number started calling her phone.
