The calculation was done by adding up the many jobs that “reflect a day in the life of a mom” – bookkeeper, coach, dietitian, logistics analyst, public school teacher, and tailor are a few of the ones mentioned by the study.
The researchers also took in consideration the long hours of a stay-at-home-mom, so they based the calculation on 96 hours of work per week. In general, the standard for paying jobs is 40-44 hours per week.
