In their comments, users can write their own views of the story they were just told, and also use a simple abbreviation system that shows their clear opinion about the original poster. With the abbreviations, one can easily tell if the user thinks the original poster is the villain of the story, or the hero. There are also abbreviations for saying “everyone’s a villain”, and “there are no villains in this story”, but the first ones are the most commonly used.
Members of the forum can upvote the comments they agree with, and, in the end, the number of upvotes, counted by a bot, determine the winning argument – and judgement. This way, a conclusion is reached about whether the original poster is a villain or a hero. Within the system, the final judgement is always black and white – there are no grey areas.
