According to her, the husband is very economical when it comes to nonessential expenses because, although he earns a good salary, he has the goal of becoming “financially independent” – meaning, retired and living off investments – at an early age.
She says he’s been like this ever since they first met, but claims his frugal ways didn’t represent a problem at the time because she was earning her own money and could spend it whichever way she wanted.
