Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder became a real-life couple while filming the supernatural drama ‘The Vampire Diaries.’ During the course of the show they eventually broke up, but their characters remained close.
That posed a problem, but the actors found their own solution. They had remained friends following the end of their relationship and agreed not to do any more kissing scenes together. The character stopped being so intimate and only had one more kiss, in the show’s finale.
