Ike already had two children from his previous marriage, meaning the pair had a full house when they became husband and wife. Unfortunately, the presence of children didn’t deter Ike from engaging in abusive behavior towards Tina. The singer reported that her husband was physically and emotionally abusive towards her, accusations that Ike didn’t entirely deny. He stated he’d hit her before, but no more “than the average guy beats his wife.”
