It wasn’t until 1976 that the two split for good, with Tina willing to give up everything just for some peace of mind. By that point, though, the damage had already been done, and not only to the singer. Being around that sort of behavior had a significant impact on the pair’s children, particularly Tina’s first-born. She admitted in an interview that Craig was an “emotional kid,” and he could often sense when things weren’t right between his mother and step-father. Unfortunately, there was no way for him to intervene.
