Whenever you have a TV show or a movie that centers around a popularized superhero, you know you’re in for a treat. At the same time, it could backfire just as easily as it succeeds, so you really never know what you’re going to get.
In the case of Gotham, we got to see a Batman origin story in a dark, yet vibrantly wacky way. The show did pretty well for itself, but Fox eventually decided that their upcoming fifth season would be its last.
