Being a photographer is something else, but making an income out of it means that you won’t spend all of your time behind the lens. If you work for someone, you’ll have to meet deadlines and follow certain parameters (which might not be to your liking). And if you are a freelancer; the freedom contrasts with the uncertainty of not being able to sell your work. Some weeks will be longer than others, some clients will be more difficult, and saving for better equipment can be extremely hard, depending on your situation.
