Although the Carpenters no longer exist as a band, Richard has continued his music career over the years, going on world tours in addition to still performing under the band’s name. His family supports his music career as well as being keen participants in their own creative arts.
During 2004, Richard and his wife made a $3 million donation to a performing arts center in honor of Karen, to celebrate her life and the talent the world has lost with her passing.
