When we go out to eat, it’s a place to smile. You and your kids are smiling, the other customers are smiling, the chefs are smiling, and of course – perhaps most of all, the waiting staff is smiling.
This is the point of their existence – other than serving you your food, their job title is to be charming to the customers, and provide them with a great overall experience. The problem is that smiles can sometimes be misleading. Yes, you heard us – even staff members as pleasant as the kind you find in restaurants can sometimes have tricks up their sleeve that you may have never anticipated.

This is what Whitney Anderson discovered when she went out to dinner with husband and her three children. It was the time to have a nice night out, and have a good time.
Maybe they were celebrating a good report card that one of their kids had received – or maybe they just wanted a change of scenery. Either way, whatever their reasoning was for going out to eat, they never should have had to worry about getting robbed.
