The very next day, Whitney returned to the restaurant to retrieve her full refund in cash. But she didn’t leave before talking about how she felt.
She wanted them to understand that they can’t just refund her money and everything would be fixed automatically. She wanted them to fire that waitress, but they were unwilling to do so. Just like putting a bandaid on something doesn’t make a wound go away, such is the case here too – there is something deeper that needs to be fixed.
