This is what the owner of Abuelo’s Mexican Restaurant needed to realize. In that moment when he saw that his restaurant’s reputation was on the line, there were two paths that he could have gone down.
He could have chosen to swallow his pride and admit that he had hired an unethical staff member, saying that this it was simply unacceptable. But instead, he chose the path of least resistance – it was a lot easier for him to sweep it under the rug and pretend like nothing was wrong.
