Not wasting any time, Whitney headed straight to the restaurant that very day to investigate the situation. She figured that there must be a reasonable explanation – perhaps the restaurant made a mistake with the bill – after all these things happen, and nobody’s perfect.
It would be better not to jump to conclusions and falsely accuse someone else before she has all of the facts. This turned out to be a smart move – soon enough, she would have all of the facts she needed.
