Helen Baxendale already had a successful acting career in the UK prior to her role on Friends, but playing Ross’ wife on the sitcom is what ultimately launched her career in America.
However, after her exit from Friends in the fifth season, she continued onward with appearing on British television series such as Kidnap and Ransom and Law & Order: UK. For the last few years, she has been portraying a character named Lorna on the BBC sitcom, Cuckoo.
