Recording music was so therapeutic for these two that they ended up getting in the studio together. Beyonce and Jay-Z had worked together plenty of times before, all the way back to when the singer started her solo career. However, this project was more than just the two of them featuring on a song together.
They decided to form a duo named The Carters – their marital surname – through which they released their own album. ‘Everything Is Love’ was a critical and commercial hit, peaking at number two in the US.
