It seems that the elevator incident wasn’t the only big talking point of that year. Just a few weeks after Solange let Jay-Z have it, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West got married. That probably doesn’t seem relevant to the Met Gala incident until you consider that the two couples were incredibly tight back then.
For Beyonce and Jay-Z to miss their friend’s wedding was a huge deal, and it’s believed that the elevator drama was linked to why they didn’t make it. That had huge repercussions for their friendship.
