It was on ‘Everything Is Love’ that Jay-Z seemed to confirm this, with the rapper saying on the song ‘Friends’ that “I ain’t going to nobody for nothin’ when me and my wife beefin’.” After hearing these lyrics, fans assumed that he was referring to not going to Kimye’s wedding because he and Beyonce were fighting at the time.
Given this all happened around the time of the elevator incident, it would make sense that the couple weren’t in a good place then. That wasn’t good enough for Kanye, though.
