Hugh and Deborra met in 1995 on the set of the Australian television show Correlli. At the time that they met and starred on the show together, Deb was an experienced actor – she had been in over 20 movies by that time.
Hugh was just starting out after finishing his stint in Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts drama school. Correlli did not last past the first season, but for Deb and Hugh the rest was history.
