It didn’t take long for Casey’s girl friends to realize something was up with her. The atmosphere in the room had changed almost instantly, and it was clear the text had shaken her. That’s when Casey burst into tears and showed the message to the other girls. When they saw what had upset the bride so much, they couldn’t hold back their anger. In their fury, they told their friend to call up her fiancé and inform him the wedding was off.
They wanted to hurt him for what he’d done, but despite everything, Casey couldn’t bear to break his heart. She’d completely bypassed the anger stage, too overcome with sadness to think about harming the man she loved. Eventually, her friends calmed down and stopped threatening violence towards her fiancé. However, they stayed firm in their stance about the wedding – Casey had to call it off.
