Caitlyn knew that the mom would be upset when she realized that her engagement ring was missing. Because of this, she knew that she had to take it somewhere safe. She picked the ring up off the ground and took it back into the Gymboree. She placed it into the locked cash box and then went for her lunch.
Caitlyn assumed that someone would either come back for the ring or telephone around looking for it. That’s exactly what happened, and Caitlyn was able to reunite the ring with its owner.
