As soon as the woman told her husband about the missing rings, he was on high alert. Jacob wanted to help Caitlyn find her engagement and wedding rings, and he wanted to do anything he could to put them back on her fingers.
So, Caitlyn sent Jacob back to the park in the hope that he would simply stumble upon them on the ground. Because they had wandered around the park, they could have been anywhere. The chances were slim, but Jacob knew that he had to at least try to find them.
