Although Thomas made no secret of the fact that he wanted to drive fast cars and whizz down the streets, he also knew that it worried his mother. She was concerned that he would grow up to become a boy racer, and that he would become a reckless driver.
She didn’t want him to risk his own life, or put the lives of others in danger. It wasn’t until she got into the passenger side of his car that she realized he was not as bad as she thought. In fact, he was incredibly cautious.
