Thanks to help from the newsroom, Gorman had found one of the teenagers, Denver Clifton. Public records said that Denver was born in 1945 who was an Army veteran. Denver was actually married twice, but both times he married he wasn’t wed to Jayne.

He lived in Jefferson County in his latter years, but unfortunately the Army veteran had passed away in 2005. Despite this sad conclusion to the story, there was still hope of finding Denver’s teenage love, Jayne Stephens.
