Another user also took the other side of the argument, totally disagreeing with his view that they are grown up or untoward in a romantic way. They commented saying: “I don’t understand how dressing up and having a dance with your dad is…” something untoward.
They continued by saying it is wrong to say he’ll only go with his daughter if she proves hard enough that she really wants to go. He should take her anyway to see if she likes it. He is the father and he should be the one making the decisions, whether right or wrong.
