Feeling as though he wanted to discuss the advert, he mentioned to his wife that he found the tradition creepy, especially because it had hearts all over the poster. Valentine’s Day is made for couples, and so using this day for a daddy-daughter dance didn’t resonate well with him.
The man had a two-year-old daughter himself, and he knew he would find it particularly awkward to be at one of these dances. After explaining how he felt to his wife, she had a rather different point of view and instead told him he should take their daughter to see if his mind could be changed. The man had to think about it for a while. Could he really bring himself to go along?
