He didn’t have to think about it for very long. In fact, he knew all along that there was no way he would attend. Just the thought of it made him feel uncomfortable. The discussion with his wife continued, and he explained there was no way he was taking their daughter to it.
He expressed his distaste, and suddenly his wife started to cry. She was absolutely distraught that he wouldn’t take his own daughter along. She started shaking uncontrollably and was completely taken aback by his refusal to take part in the event. Through her tears, she explained how she felt he was denying their daughter of this opportunity to share a special bonding experience. He wondered, was he doing something wrong?
