The letting agency representative then said that they had been getting more and more requests to see the property. They had claimed that plenty of single ladies had been to view the property with the landlord and that the flat would be leased on a first-come-first-served arrangement.
It seemed as though the letting agency was offering Lorna a route back to renting the property. Considering how she felt about the initial refusal it’s unlikely Lorna was ever interested in renting form that landlord.
