This guy must have thought things were odd when the landlord seemingly volunteered to carry out maintenance on his home. It became clear that this wasn’t to benefit the people who lived there.
They had been spoiling themselves with all the space in their living room anyway, so now they had to do without while their landlord sat back and counted the money. We can just bet that the people living there didn’t get a reduction in their rates for losing half of their living room.
