Lorna was told she could not move into the property because one, she was alone, and two, she was female. According to Lorna, she was told by a member of the letting agency that she would not be allowed to rent the property mainly because she was a single female.
She was told she needed to have a man accompanying her on the tenant’s agreement for “safety reasons.” Quite how that makes the property any safer is a mystery. It’s not like women-only households are the only ones to suffer break-ins. Naturally, Lorna wasn’t all that impressed with what she was told, and she took to social media to share her experience.
