Unfortunately, it’s not just clothing that the airline appears to have an issue with. In the past, they’ve been accused of gender discrimination with a regulation appearing to favor men and punish women. The Association of Professional Flight Attendants stated that their attendance policy was unnecessarily harsh towards female employees.
This was a huge contrast to the way it impacted male pilots, arousing fears of gender bias. Now that we’re in 2019, these kinds of things don’t fly under the radar anymore. Any airline seen to be exploiting their staff or customers like this can expect to be called out for it.
