As well as the items that were apparently walking around on their own, Tracy now had to figure out what was causing the noises. She inquired with her children to see if any of them had been playing around in the attic in the last couple of days.
The children all emphatically denied that they had, pointing out that the attic was hardly a good place to play. Dark and incredibly dusty, they were as liable to injure themselves up there as they were to have a good time.
