Both Tracy and her ex-husband wanted to stay near each other, because it would make sharing custody of their children much less complicated and expensive. As such, they wanted to find places that would be close to one another to move to.
They decided to look for a city to move to, figuring it would offer much better job opportunities. The two of them also asked their children for their opinion, as they didn’t want to uproot them and move to an entirely different place, just for them to be miserable there.
